Hysteroscopy Course for Nurses

The Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Hospital CUF Descobertas, the CUF Academic Center, and the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy are organising a one-day course for nursing professionals on 30 January 2027 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The course will cover patient assessment and preparation, communication, pain management, and comfort measures during the procedure. It will also address the equipment used in hysteroscopy, patient safety, potential complications, department organisation, and teamwork.

During the afternoon, an interactive clinical case discussion and simulation-based practical training will take place. This session will be structured across three stations, featuring exercises in hysteroscopic navigation, instrument handling, operative hysteroscopy, polypectomy, and laparoscopic coordination.

The course is intended for nurses working in hysteroscopy, gynaecology, the operating theatre, recovery units, and other endoscopy-related services.
