Frequently asked questions
Can I join online even though I am not a patient
Yes. Any user over the age of 16* can join My CUF.
*The 16-year limit is imposed by the National Data Protection Board (CNPD)
Why can't I join?
There are two reasons why you may not be able to validate your membership:
- The TIN is already being used by another account
- The email is already being used by another account
I am not Portuguese and I do not have a TIN
For security and data protection reasons, without TIN, new subscriptions to My CUF are not allowed. If you are a foreign citizen and have a Portuguese TIN you can sign up for My CUF normally.
